This webservice contains bank sortcode, bank account, branch details and Credit Card Number Validation lookup functions. Before using the eSortcode WebService please visit http://www.eSortcode.com and follow the instructions for signing up with a new account. Please also note that the optional Irish ISPO license can also be purchased at additional cost.

The following operations are supported. For a formal definition, please review the Service Description.

• BranchDetails
  This function is used to return the Branch Details for a Sort Code within the ISCD database and the Irish IPSO database if an additional licence has been purchased
• ExtendedBranchDetails
  This function is used to return the Branch Details for a Sort Code against the EISCD dataset and IPSO dataset if optional license has been purchased
• ExtendedBranchDetails_AllBranches
  This function is used to return the Branch Details and Sub Branches for a Sort Code against the EISCD dataset and IPSO dataset if optional license has been purchased
• ServiceTest
  This function is used to test the service and returns the number of Credits Available for the Account.
• StandardiseAccount
  This function is used to transpose Non-standard (i.e. 6, 7, 9 & 10 digit) Account Numbers into Standard (i.e. 8 digit) Account Numbers.
• ValidateAccount
  This function is used to Validate a UK Bank Sortcode and Account Number and against the Irish ISPO database if the optional license has been purchased.
• ValidateAccountGetBranchDetails
  This function incorporates the StandardiseAccount, ValidateAccount and BranchDetails web services into one web service from ISCD database and IPSO dataset if optional license has been purchased
• ValidateAccountGetExtendedBranchDetails
  This function incorporates the StandardiseAccount, ValidateAccount and BranchDetails web services into one web service and gets extended branch details from EISCD dataset and IPSO dataset if optional license has been purchased.
• ValidateCreditCard
  This function is used to validate a credit card number and to return the credit card type.
